The Bottom Billion: Why the Poorest Countries Are Failing and What Can Be Done About It

That’s the title of Paul Collier’s new book and from this piece in the Times he seems to be along the right tracks. One minor quibble:

The policy changes we need just won’t fit on a wrist band.

He’s right, of course, but this wristband comes close:

"I BUY GOODS FROM POORER COUNTRIES."
