There’s a new report out, done by TechRepublic and Global Knowledge (2008 IT Skills and Salary Report) which shows you why you really want might want to think of getting some training and joining the IT sector.

The first and most obvious point is that it’s a highly paid field but more importantly, salaries are still rising. So that means that no, the jobs are not all being offshored.

There’s also a very useful guide to which qualifications actually provide the best incomes: Voice Over IP can bring in $100,000 a year while PMP training can land you a job at $90,000 or more.
