Oh no, none at all. It simply isn’t possible to cut taxation without reducing services:
Almost £500 million of taxpayers’ money will be spent on covering the costs of
the bungled implementation of a new payment system to English farmers, a
parliamentary inquiry reports today.
Half a large one, eh? That we shouldn’t even be subsidizing farming is one thing, but to waste so much while doing so….
A modest proposal – instead of calling it ‘a large one’ perhaps the unit of wasting a billion could be called a band?
Then a thousandth of that would be a ..?
On second thought, I think it’s already been claimed by ‘a total waste’.
That £500m is only a minute part of the wasteful and fruitless spending programmes – the full extent of waste and mismanagement is monumental:
