Your Tax Money At Work

Oh Dear.

The real bill for the 2012 London Olympics may not be known for years, government sources admitted last night.

Rising
security costs — above and beyond the £190 million set aside — meant
that the full cost of the games would probably not be arrived at until
much closer to 2012.

Wat Tyler’s current guesstimate is £ 20 billion. Any advances on that?

  1. Why the hell did we have to host the Olympics? What’s the point? It’s a ridiculous even that wastes far too much money. I never voted for it to come here and have no interest in it. I really dislike sporty people pushing their horrible pastimes on to the general public. For example, once a year the roads of Bath are sealed off so a bunch of sick looking people can run on the roads until they are struck down by dehydration. Why must I endure this crap? Can anyone explain?
