Anyone know anything about these guys, The International Academy of Science? Are they serious? Or kooks?

It’s a bizarre group, almost cult-like. They purport to do research, but all they had was some educational software terminals and a decade-old hydrogen car.
The whole thing is built inside an old mine, and they have a bunch of young “students” who live there.
I can’t figure them out, really. They have no relation to the “other” international academy of science. And I have no idea where their money comes from.
