John Prescott

You might get a little outraged at this:

A new Government department, employing 18 staff at a cost of more than
£1 million a year, has been established for John Prescott, even though
he was stripped of his departmental responsibilities in May and plans
to quit next year.

That’s quite a lot really as a subsidy to someone whose importance is their effect upon the Labour Party.

The Conservatives said his office and staff were likely to cost £1.3
million a year. But they estimated the total cost at more than £2
million when his salary, flat in Admiralty House, official Jaguar and
driver, pension costs and travel allowances were included.

Me? I think it’s bloody cheap actually, just think if they allowed him to run something again, how much would that cost us?
