The Newspaper Industry

Torygraph:

The Economist, a newspaper first published in 1843 and still going

  1. I am Sparticus

  2. I was thinking along just those lines. Wouldn’t the tiny pay for journalists point in that direction too?

  3. It’s good to see the power over the news being transferred from the journalist elites to the masses.
Now is that sentiment left wing or right wing?

  4. We have kind of been here before, though this time it is more worrying, and the cuts are biting hard even at the higher end of the British dead wood media. I think it will be while yet, though, before the newspaper breathes its last – maybe even past my retirement in 20 years.
