The Fleet Street Letter.

I’m informed in comments that Neil Clark, the UK blogosphere’s premier paleo-socialist has a day job.

At The Fleet Street Letter.

Can this be true?  That one with such admiration for the decidedly non-capitalist economies of  the former Eastern Europe actualy earns his daily crust flogging share information under the rubric of My Lord Rees-Mogg?

Or am I sadly misinformed?

Update. Looks like I am sadly misinformed. Via email I’m told that he teaches at a "Tutorial School". Otherwise known as a crammer.

  1. I take issue with your characterisation of him as a socialist. He was in the Revolutionary Communist Party (Marxist/Leninist), wasn’t he?
Which was a weird French-influenced tack off the edge of Trotskyism.

  2. Yeah, well, nobody can tell warthogs apart but another warthog.

  3. You’re not misinformed Tim- I do write occasionally for the Fleet Street Letter, though only on a freelance basis and it’s not my ‘day job’. My work for the FSL is hardly a secret- I’ve put it on my blog profile. I don’t write share-tipping pieces, only the occasional comment piece.
And p.s. I’m happy to be labelled a ‘paleo-socialist’ but I’ve never been a member of the R.C.P. I don’t know where Alex got that from.
