Yet Even More Mohammed Cartoons in Egypt.

You are aware that those cartoons of Mohammed were published in Egypt? Yes, really, back in, oooh, October? Via Laban comes the Sandmonkey with a scan of the paper and Freedom for Egyptians with more of the story. QandO takes this information and thinks the row is therefore all a set up.

All of which rather neatly leads us back to this New York Times story about just how the protests spread.

Naah, it couldn’t all really be about internal politics could it, as the Sandmonkey suggests?

    So it seems that the hypocrisy has exists on all sides.The cartoons were published in an Egyptian newpaper October 17th, 2005 !The current Muhammed crises started 14 days ago. So just why did the publishing of the cartoons on october 17th in Egypt not cau

Given that the cartoons were first published by J-P on 30 September, and even the muslim countries conference took place in December, the fact that the rioting didn’t really kick off until February does appear strange to say the least. On recent evidence I didn’t think that muslim outrage and righteous indignation was so slow-burning?
