Oh Dear.

Ken Clarke:

Kenneth Clarke issues a stark warning to the Tory party today that it
will not regain power unless it puts the will to win above its
hostility to the European Union.

Well, quite, you need to be in power before you can do anything. But it does help to work out what you actually want to do before you gain that power. Or is the Tory party now claiming to be simply better managers than Nu Labour?

  1. NU-Con seems an apt name for Clarke’s wittering.

  2. The arrogance of this bastard is incredible.
It was the Europhiles (a minority in the party) not those who were hostile to the great Brussels power grab who have the responsibility of creating Tory Infighting.
If the likes of Ken had not spent years provocatively singing the praises of the mother of all failures, no-one in the party would have caused trouble.
We could sack all the Europhiles in the parliamentary party and the numbers would hardly shift. It is not the time to give up on hostility to Europe.
