It isn't easy, whether you're offering to lend money (ie, make a deposit) or desiring to borrow money (say, take out a mortgage) to find the best rates. That is, who will pay you the most/charge you the least.

Well, it used to be, but now there's the mortgage rates widget, something hugely useful. It's very simple: they collect the infomation so that everyone can see it. This is what it looks like.
