Pete Doherty pulled out of the FM4 Frequency Festival in Salzburg when he missed his flight.

Apparently he informed British Airways that he was a minor celebrity, who might be a bit late and could get some hassle at the airport.  The airline was not impressed and gave him no help even when he fell over and creased his hat.

Poor old Pete.  Minor celebrity? My arse has more celebrity status.

The rest of Babyshambles managed to get to the gig only to pulled out when they realized Pete had missed the flight.  The band then had to travel to Salzberg and apologize to fans.

When Doherty finally did find a plane to Austria, he drowned his sorrows by guzzling down a barrel-load of drugs which necessitated an ambulance and a four hour delay to his other gig in Graz.

Pete Doherty is what you might call a troubled star.  If by troubled you mean spoilt, unprofessional and unable to achieve simple tasks without a parent holding his hand.  And by star you mean someone who people are happy to pay good money to be able to say, "I was there to see him self-destruct."
