Now here’s an interesting idea, one that uses the internet and the web in a new an interesting way.
We’re all familiar with the idea that when you need a local expert you just pick up the phone book and trawl through the pages, right? But if you’re looking for, say, a raleigh home inspector you’ve got absolutely no assurance on the quality of the service you’re going to get. You can be sure he’s in Raleigh, sure, but that’s about it.
So, why not recreate on a national scale those phone books but adding one more piece. Insist upon pre-qualifying those who are in the directory. That way when someone looks for a home inspector in Raleigh they know that the business has already been scrutinised, already meets certain standards.
Having the listing on the net of course makes it much easier to search, yes, but it’s that extra level of scrutiny that makes it all so worthwhile.
