Chris Martin, lead singer of Coldplay, was refused entry to his own party in Los Angeles when the bouncer failed to recognize him.
Presumably when the guest list was written, no one thought to include the host. The doorman, sticking admirably to his task, refused to listen to the pleas from other guests and Martin was left sitting by the elevator while the party raged on the roof of the Thompson Beverly Hills hotel.
