Legistorm

I think this fuss over Legistorm is really rather wonderful.

You see,the thing is, that all those assistants and aides to Congresscritters, all those snouts in the trough, they have to tell everyone how far those snouts are in the trough.

You know, release it all as public information.

The along comes Ligistorm and makes all that already public information easy for people to actually sort through, easy for people to read. And then the little piggies are up in arms.

Because, when they agreed that what they got from the taxpayer should be public they didn’t mean that the public should actually be able to find out anything. Oh, no: in the cellar marked "Beware of the Leopard" was fine, but actually knowing? That’s not the point at all.
