Regular readers will know that we’re sortin out this new (to us at least) house down here and we’ve managed to get it about half done. Applying to the bank now for he money to try and get the other half done, but that’s another matter. The half we have got finished is fully habitable (should be, with the amount of money spent already) and that means that we need to go out looking for the furniture with which to fill it.

That, in turn, means one of two things: either I trapise around the shops three paces behind my wife or I do the research online and then let her roam virtually. Makes me feel most virtuous doing it the second way. Which brings is to Home and Bedroom as a great online store and source for furnishings. I can’t say I’m all that worried about Bar Stools as that’s not something that we’re going to have in the house (there’s a great bar 50 yards away and anyway, drinking at home always seems to get us into trouble).

But their selection of Hillsdale Furniture looks superb: one reason being of course that as a virtual store they can stock everything, not like a bricks and mortar one that can only keep part of the range on site. The Fashion Bed Group (which I’d not heard of before) also looks very much worth consideration.

Excuse me, I’ve got to get off the computer now as my wife wants to go shopping.
