Natavia Lowery has been arrested for the murder of Linda Stein. As you might remember, Linda Stein was found a couple of weeks back beaten to death in her apartment: she had been the manager of The Ramones and was currently engaged in real estate. Natavia Lowery was her personal assistant who beat her to death with a yoga stick (just what is a "yoga stick" anyway?) when a barrage of insults sent her into a homicidal rage.

Lowery is being held without bail on charges of second degree murder.

The personal assistant to Linda Stein, the punk rock pioneer who later
became known as “Realtor to the Stars,” admitted to authorities she was
involved in her boss’ death, police said yesterday.

Stein, 62, whose star-studded cadre of friends included Elton John and Madonna, was found lying in a pool of blood on Oct. 31.

Looks like there are other people who don’t know what a yoga stick is too:

The assistant, Natavia Lowery, gave detectives a written and verbal confession, Kelly said.

She will be arraigned later Friday.

Stein, 62, was found dead in her posh Fifth Avenue apartment on October
30, a victim of "blunt impact injuries of the head and neck," the
medical examiner’s office said.

Police said no sign of forced entry was found at the apartment.

Lowery told police that Stein had been verbally abusive to her and on
the day of the murder had blown marijuana smoke into her face and waved
a "yoga stick" at her, Kelly said.

"At this point, Lowery said
she grabbed the yoga stick from Stein’s hand and struck her with it six
or seven times," Kelly said, adding that detectives are still searching
for the murder weapon.

   Lowery had been Stein’s personal assistant for four months, Kelly said.

So what the hell is a "yoga stick"?
