Court and Church Furniture

As regular readers will know we’re in hte process of sorting out this new (to us) house here and as the builders are now off site we come to the process of actually furnishing it. This is leading to a certain amount of argument as I’ve got a slightly odd taste in furniture. I love great big solid wooden furniture and for example, I’d happily use church pews as seating for a picnic table or indeed for along one side of the kitchen table.

So I’m very happy indeed that I’ve found Rattigan Schottler who manufacture such things (just click through that link to see what I mean). Unfortunately, now all I have to do is convince the wife: that’s not going to be the easiest of tasks.

  1. I think it’s not odd, Tim; it’s just being unique. Church furniture are popularly known for their noble and classic look; they’ll surely add more life to one’s house if they’re designed and upholstered properly.
