  1. It is probably referring to that book from a few of years ago that claimed Abraham Lincoln was gay, although most reputable historians said that the claim was not based on credible evidence or sources.

  2. Why should I care whether Condi Rice is gay or not? It seems that part of the gay rights lobby is claiming that if you don’t support, for example, gay marriage, you can’t be a “real gay”.
If a politician is a “practicing” homosexual, and advocates making gay sex illegal, he is a hypocrite and should be called on it. Similarly, a politician who is gay and has married his partner in a foreign country where it is permitted should be rightly pilloried if he opposes gay marriage in his own country.
And that’s it. There’s no contradiction or hypocrisy in supporting legal gay sex, but opposing legal gay marriage, or adoption by gay couples, or anything else – even if you happen to be gay.
