Well, Possibly

This could be true:

The state of some UK barracks means that British troops endure worse
living conditions at home than on operations in Afghanistan, according
to a report today by MPs.

Admittedly my brother is working for a contractor, not directly for the military. He just runs the kitchens for them all in Kabul. But he’s been living in a shipping container for the past couple of years. Are UK bases really worse than that?

One response

  1. Let’s have experiment. Let’s offer the troops the option to spend their leave in Afghanistan. In tents under constant mortar fire or dirty barracks in Catterick. Any takers?
