Portugal Notes I

It’s currently 20 oC, or so my car tells me.

I’m wearing a thick cardigan, because that’s chilly.

D’ye think I might have been here too long?

Or, given the cardi, is it simply old age (or terminal naffness)?

Update. I am taken to task. Possibly even quite rightly. So, where is it Bob?

  1. My Johnny Boden cardy is tres stylish and a la mode. Cardies are , ahem, surging ahead.

  2. Too much of a good thing

Tim Worstall is bemoaning his fate in Portugal. He’s not usually short of items to moan about at the best of times, but he must be running out of things to gripe about if this is the best he can…

  3. I can sympathise. Any temperature over 12 degrees Celcius is t-shirt weather for me these days.

  4. Salema, Tim.

  5. “I pity the poor immigrant
Who wishes he would’ve stayed home
Who uses all his power to do evil
But in the end is always left so alone
That man whom with his fingers cheats
And who lies with ev’ry breath
    Who passionately hates his life
    And likewise fears his death.”
It’s being so cheerful wot keeps me going.

  6. Big trousers….
…that’s what you have to watch out for Timmy.
When you start wearing those big trousers that come up to your armpits and keep your chest warm, you are doomed.
Also if you are in Portugal, but your teeth are still in England.
Eastbourne awaits us all, in the fullness of time.
