Be Nice to a Guardianista

Strange as it may seem to relate but there are actually sane people within The Guardian Media Group.

Victor Keegan for example.

What is desperately needed, of course, is to get public opinion
mobilised to abolish agriculture subsidies which, at a stroke would
revive agriculture production in poorer nations while giving the rich
countries a cash bonanza to spend on something else.
One way to
achieve this is to use the new social networks that are springing up
that, in theory, could spread the word to millions of people. I have set up a sister site (ASS – Agriculture Subsidies Suck) on Facebook. So far it has almost 100 signatures. Please add yours. Only a few hundred million to go . . .

Quite how much good a Facebook group is going to do I’m not sure but anything is worth trying to get rid of the idiocy of farm subsidies. Go on, sign up, you know you ought to.

  1. Facebook, isn’t that like blogs for young people?

  2. I’m not having some bunch of odious lefties lecturing me on something I’ve been right about for decades and they’ve been wrong about all through their dismal, moronic, fucking lives. And their wives are ugly. And their children can’t catch.
Tim adds: Well, the G was actually founded to argue for free trade all those years ago…..

oh god, no, make it stop. How would the abolition of agricultural subsidies (and thus at a stroke, a big fall in the EU price, which the poorer countries sell at under EBA) help “revive agricultural production”?
