Sorry about this, but I’ve just made something of an important discovery. Peter Simple is not dead, he’s been merely resting. The first time around, when he was in The Telegraph, was of course his incarnation as tragedy, predicting the dystopia. His second is as farce, under the name Madeleine Bunting:

D’ye think it might be cheaper for the G to make arrangements to reprint pieces from the 60s say, rather than paying someone to write them anew?
