For bansturbation, that is?
But under a new edict government vets, responsible for the protection of
millions of farm animals, will no longer be free to take their pets with
them.
Animal Health, the agency responsible for the state veterinary service, has
banned vets and other staff from taking their dogs in cars on visits to
farms or other premises when on official business. It is also to extend the
ruling to another 2,000 private vets for work carried out under contract to
the Government.
No, it’s not about bio-security. One individual (neither a vet nor trained in the care of animals) saw a vet’s dog in a parked car. Complained, and the state agency responded by banning all vets that work for it from taking their dogs on their rounds.
So, what should we do with bureaucrats who indulge in this most unnatural of vices, bansturbation? Send them to bed without any cocoa? Gralloch them? Rise up as a nation and hang them from the nearest lampost? Draft a curtly worded memo?
No, I don’t know either, but can someone, please, come up with something effective, something that stops them from doing it again. Pour encourage les autres perhaps? Or discourage them?
