Muito Constipado

So, this cold then. I’m at the bar on the corner (yes, note to those who move abroad, the local caff really is your friend) and the landlady says, re my cold:

"Muito constipado".

And I think, no, that end is quite regular, thank you, it’s my nose that is blocked.

Ah. Blocked: both congested and constipated mean this. It’s something of a lottery which language uses which to describe which part.

So, Portugal, a country where you use Lemsip to deal with constipation.

Ain’t foreign great?
