Doing a Jowell

Isn’t this what we’re supposed to call it?

HHNF. But of course Ms Jowell’s case was traditional Labour money-related monkey-business, while Ségo’s sounds more like a traditional Tory bedroom-related contretemps.

Given the disparity in physical attraction between the two, it is surprising that Mr Hollande actually called her bluff.
Is this man so ambitious that he’d prefer to see Ségo mounting a leadership challenge rather than mounting him?

    Jowell
Defn.- Pretending to dump husband in order to keep job.
    Sego
Defn.-Pretending to be with partner while standing for election.
Sego is therefore a reverse Jowell.
