Fire Melting Steel

Yes, this one story will be so annoying for the 9/11 conspiracists to read. As is noted just about everywhere in fact. Michelle Malkin, Hot Air, Crooked Timber (did anyone actually believe that those three would ever agree about anything? A sign of the end times perhaps?)…

A gasoline fire/explosion can indeed melt steel.

Of course, there’s always those who still won’t believe. Sigh.

without wanting to get anywhere near the “9/11 truth” cult, I would be very surprised indeed if skyscrapers and lorries were made out of the same type of steel.

d2, I think the point is that the bridge collapsed due to the heat from the burning, gasoline laden truck causing the girders bearing the weight of the structure to fail. The truck is itself is an aside.

  3. I think you might’ve missed the point of my post, Tim (the final one you linked). Re-read with the intended sarcasm and mockery of 9/11 Truthers. My point was to illustrate that one can concoct an asinine government conspiracy theory around anything so long as you’re willing to amplify, distort, and cherry-pick facts to fit a pre-determined conclusion.
Tim adds: No, no, I didn’t misread it. It was an exercise left to the reader to spot the sarcasm.

The thermal behaviour of the load bearing steel in a truck (i.e. the chasis) and the steel support structure in a building would not be much different in a hydrocarbon fire.

YOUR FUCKING STUPID. two planes driven by fucking iraqi’s did not bring down TWC. Its been planned for a while, it was done by the global elites and was just a pretext for war. An excuse for Bush to go conquer Iraq and Afganistan. If anyone of you believe else wise your a fucking ignorant son of a bitch and are the type of people who will allow the elites plan to fall through. When the world is at stake, i will be the one laughing saying i told you so…
