d2, I think the point is that the bridge collapsed due to the heat from the burning, gasoline laden truck causing the girders bearing the weight of the structure to fail. The truck is itself is an aside.

My point was to illustrate that one can concoct an asinine government conspiracy theory around anything so long as you’re willing to amplify, distort, and cherry-pick facts to fit a pre-determined conclusion.

The thermal behaviour of the load bearing steel in a truck (i.e. the chasis) and the steel support structure in a building would not be much different in a hydrocarbon fire.
