Petronella Wyatt

Tsk, I mean Tsk!

Via Blognor Regis we find that Petronella Wyatt actually created her own Wikipedia entry. Which was then immediately hacked of course.

Most amusing (and she got at least £ 1 a word for telling the Mail’s readers about it as well which is less amusing) but the slightly unfortunate thing is that the entry is now semi-protected. So I can’t add the only interesting thing anyone’s ever said about her.

Boris‘ mistake was not in shagging her but in publishing her.

So, someone who could add it gave us this page. Which was, unfortunately, immediately edited back. Pity.

  1. And so was Wikipedia’s!! (heh heh!!)

  2. The description Wyatt gives of the offending entry sounds so hilarious that I would have demanded that of Wikipedia that it never be changed.

  3. I met her a few times. I was not greatly impressed.

  4. Possibly, Blithering Bunny, she didn’t demand it be kept because her account of it is far more amusing than was the actual vandalised entry.

  5. I thought petronella was a kind of candle.

  6. I enjoyed Petronella’s columns in The Spectator, and that Daily Mail article is hilarious. I like her. She’s not perfect, but at least she’s honest: that line in the Mail article about how she was ‘driven by the accursed imperatives of vanity’ is a good example.
