I don’t normally follow nickel prices (or most of the other non-ferrous metals actually) because they’re not my markets. But nickel at $50,000 a tonne? Jeez, anyone got any stainless steel scrap around?
Also, lead at over $2,000? Anyone got a pile of old car batteries? Instead of you paying to have them taken away, at this price people should be paying you for the privilege of having them.
I was quoted nickel transformer laminations at 47,000 pounds per tonne last week. Luckily I only wanted a couple of kilos at the time.
I’m about to come into two 40ft shipping containers full of high grade aluminium. Some clown thought importing aluminium into Russia would be a good idea, and has realised their mistake and dumped it on me. I probably need to flog it to somebody. I also have a couple of containers of fibreglass going spare. Perhaps I should go into business making static caravans.

It’s not Russian. It was bought in Holland and some twat is now dumping it on me in Russia. The grade is 3003 H14, 1.0mm thick, in 1 tonne coils.
