Nettle Beer anyone?
I think this is about the point at which I decide that Bangladesh can drown and the polar bears boil.

I assume it is a satire site…. they want you to become part of a hunter/gatherer society… a 99 percent cut in population would be required…
A small ray of light in the darkness…

Documentary
The Great Global Warming Swindle
9:00pm – 10:35pm
Channel 4
Provocative documentary that sets out to challenge the widely accepted view that man-made carbon dioxide emissions are responsible for global warming. With arguments from leading scientists, the film points to recent research that solar radiation may be a more plausible factor in climate change, and suggests that reducing carbon emissions may not only have little impact on the environment, but may also have unintentional repercussions for third world development.
At least according to this, nettle beer is apparently quite palatable. I think I’ll take their word for it, but there’s a recipe here, if anyone wants to give it a go.
Three-quarters of the land in the world is uninhabitable. Mainly because it is too hot/dry or too cold/frozen.
If sea levels rise as a result of global warming, then yes, Bangladesh will disappear beneath the waves. Or possibly Cornwall or London (bugger, I live there).
But so what?
Greenland will become a verdant pasture (again), as will most of Canada and Siberia. We’ll lose a whole stretch of land in some places, but other bits will thaw out and become habitable again. This should just about net off.
His slogan could be “Watch your food miles and watch someone in the developing world starve.”
A delicious parody. I laughed till I wept.
Not exactly written as satire, but very much tongue in cheek – I guess my message was supposed to be think about your actions, but there’s no need for it to become an obsession – we need to enjoy life too.
Glad it made people laugh.
