Odd

From Bob Piper:

The rather confused PragueTory responded to a question from one of his
commenters about whether he had considered standing as a Tory MP by
saying “I’ll give it some thought”. This was a full 3 hours after he
had stated his intention to stand as an Independent in Birmingham,
Erdington against Sion Simon (presumably, “vote for me and then I’ll
tell you who I am" will be his campaign slogan).

It was a terribly sad story. Another reason I would never want to work as an MP at Westminster.

Lol. I’ll give it some thought, but outside of Islington I don’t hear anyone beckoning. Seriously, I don’t think Westminster would suit me ever. Without going into details, take a look at the personal lives of the merry bunch I refer to in this post. If MPs could vote and debate from home, I’d be very interested.
Full thread here including my joke about Erdington. I didn’t think I needed to signpost gags, maybe I’ll have to reconsider.
In sum the two posts are absolutely non-contradictory. If Bob’s an authority on me, you’re a europhile, Tim.

  2. This is weeks old. Why bring it up know?

  3. Judge for yourself… Are PragueTory’s jokes funny? He wrote “Provided the Libs and the Tories agree not to fight the seat I plan to stand as an independent candidate against Sion Simon in Erdington. Once the seat is won I plan to do one term in Westminster on a “standards in public life” platform.”
Well split your sides on that one. I suppose given that he called the Shadow Chancellor a W*nker and accused him of being an alcohol and substance abuser, it is somewhat unlikely the Tories would stand aside for him. However, his ‘jokes’ are so feeble, perhaps he should signpost them just in case anyone ever made the mistake of taking PragueTory seriously.

  4. I’m with poons. Bob is such a big baby.

  5. I am not with Praguetory.

  6. I suppose given that he called the Shadow Chancellor a W*nker
Presumably noone in the Labour Party has ever thought that Gordon Brown has indulged in a bit of one eyed snake play.
