Just in case anyone ever ends up looking for an apartment to rent in Cascais, Portugal, or wants to look into rentals or real estate there, do not use the services of MAP Lda.
Appalling service, they conspire with the landlords to steal from you.

They’re all the same. I’ve actually been thinking of becoming an estate agent myself. I’d like to be the first honest estate agent ever.
The first time I rented through estate agents I was able to show them that the owners had wangled the wiring so that I was would have to pay for their electricity. “I’m not having that” said the agent, and made them pay the whole bill, so I got mine free.
Well, if Portugal has similar rules to Anglo countries, the estate agent is, after all, the agent of the landlord, not the tenant.
