Not quite sure what the fuss is here. Prague Tory takes exception to something posted up by Bob Piper, created by Unity.
I wouldn’t call it the most biting or incisive of witticims, to be sure and yes, as Tom Lehrer pointed out when Nixon was elected, satire is dead. But really, all this fuss over a slightly damp squib?

Interestingly, PragueTory commented on this posting very early on, seemingly without being offended at all. His moral outrage only appeared later after someone else had said they thought it was distasteful. It took PragueTory two full hours to work up his indignation… or perhaps he has a slow typing speed.
If it wasn’t for the fact that traffic has flowed via Conservative Home, DizzyThinks, UK Daily Pundit, Tin Drummer, Young Conservative, Modern Conservative to my site and then on to Bob’s and MoT’s I am sure that they wouldn’t be getting so irritated with me. I exhorted none of the above people to blog it. They did it themselves.
2 police bloggers have appeared on Bob’s and my site saying they consider the material to be racist, some other anons have said that they are reporting Piper.
Having singled my reasonable post out for attention, they miss the bigger picture. Namely that the material should be removed and a councillor posting it is a story. Their attempts to quash the story/besmirch me are akin to pissing in the wind.

Nice to see that (Name editied out. Tsk Bob, if people use pseudonymns don’t out them) still fails to explain why he took two hours to work up his full fake moral indignation, and yet commented earlier ON THE SAME POST without expressing a word of disapproval, or asking for the posting to be taken down.
(He) knows this is about him trying to cash-in on a bit of what Tim describes as satire whilst pretending to be offended. I’m not the slightestr bit surprised that his fellow tittle-tattlers jumped on the bandwagon.
Tim, would you mind addressing Bob’s breach of netiquette? Bob may or may not believe this, but my every waking hour is not spent blogging on a PC. There is no issue to address.
Bob is clearly rattled. Bob has already been interviewed by the local media – see this risible interview. MSM will be running this next week. Bob had ample chance to take it down. If he faces consequences as a result of the powers that be, I have no sympathy. He will be hoisted on his own petard and the constituents of Abbey Ward may have an opportunity to have a councillor who actually does council work.

I’m something of an absolutist here: subject only to libel and incitement to violence you have the right to say anything you damn well want to. You also have the duty to take the consequances.

Frankly, as for the powers that be, best of luck to them. I have been elected 3 times in the last four years here, (not bad for someone that doesn’t work for the Ward) and if the people of Abbey Ward say they don’t want me, I have no problem with that… but upsetting some pompous prick of an Iain Dale wannabe isn’t going to make me lose any sleep. As any who reads the comments to your post, my edits were very normal. They were to corroborate a fact that had been queried. Once established it was done. Unity – you are f*** loser and as predicted you have got your mate Bob in very hot water. Stop looking around for someone else to blame.

You could have explained these (normal) edits when they were raised, but you didn’t.
You could have followed the usual conventions, in which a note is appended to the post to explain an edit which alters the meaning or context of a comment – but you didn’t.
You just flat out denied that you’d made any changes to the post and are now making excuses having been caught bang to rights.
