Is the casting couch still alive and well?

An aspiring actress is waging a one-woman campaign against the use of
the casting couch in China’s film industry by posting clips of herself
having sex with famous directors on the internet.

Anyone who has read anything about Hollywood (say, some of the stories of Howard Hughes) would be entirely unsurprised at this. I rather liked the last line:

Some critics have suggested that there might be some truth underlying her claims.
