Looks like TEBAF (The Ever etc) Margot really doesn’t quite get this democracy gig.
This was the first time that the Commission has consulted civil society
on communication policy. To me it is crucial that it is made into a
tool for democracy. When “Vlaams Belang“ has 33.5% of voters in
Antwerpen, when neo-Nazis mobilise voters in Germany, when the
xenophobic party “Sverigedemokraterna” gets seats in half of the
Swedish municipalities – can there be a more important issue for us
than to fight for democracy, solidarity and equal rights ?!
So, the people are voting for something. Thus the bureaucracy should spend the voters’ money to dissuade them from voting that way. Hmm. No, not quite right, is it?
