Two Faced MPs!

Yes, I know, difficult to credit isn’t it? That our politicians might in fact be a little two faced.

Prince Charles and the Treasury last night rejected
new demands from MPs to open up his accounts for independent inspection
to show that he was paying a fair share of tax.

Edward
Leigh, Tory chairman of the public accounts committee, asked the
Treasury why the Duchy of Cornwall, the Prince of Wales’s main source
of income, was exempt from corporation and capital gains tax.

This call coming at the same moment that the House is defying the Information Commissioner: a Freedom of Infomation Act request has been approved into the exact contents of MPs expenses claims. But the House is claiming some sort of privilege to keep all of that secret.

No, no hypocrisy there then.
