Something at TCS. We’re often told that WalMart should be more like Costco: higher wages, better benefits etc. The bit that gets missed or glossed over is that Costco uses about one quarter of the labour of WalMart. Logically then, if WalMart were to raise its wages to Costco levels, it would need to reduce its labour force proportionately. We rarely get told about the corollarly to this, near 1 million people losing their jobs.
