Teh city of culture thing only matters to the bandwagon of publically financed people who trail round organising such events, and we can be sure they’ll get plenty of cash whatever happens. Liverpool is city of culture for 2008. Which city is it in 2006? Who will it be in 2007? Nobody knows, nobody cares.
