Now that the war is over, peace declared, the guns put away, it’s difficult to remember at times just what the Provisional IRA were really like.
You might see in your newspapers today the story about the widow, mother of ten, shot by the IRA for, allegedly, being an informer. The Police Service of Northern Ireland have just announced, after a trawl of the records, that she was no such thing. So why was she shot?
Jean McConville, 37, a Roman Catholic widow, was seized in front of her
children, the youngest of whom was six, after helping a fatally wounded
soldier outside her door in the Divis area of Belfast.
Executed for comforting a dying man.
A glimpse into the real IRA for you. Scum.
