Confessions of an Economic Hit Man

Oooohieooo seriously scary book about how the US maintains it’s economic hegemony by murder, bribery, blackmail and so on through the OECD, World Bank, IMF and no doubt the Illuminati, Round Table and Grey Aliens get a look in as well but I’ve only read the preface. From which:

But this is not fiction. It is the true story of my life. A more courageous publisher, not one owned by an international corporation, has agreed to help me tell it.

Published in the UK, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand by Random House.

Oh, and Greg Palast likes it.

Strong recommendations, eh?

Sadly, I’ve read it while imprisoned on a long distiance flight with nothing better to read. Pure claptrap of the seriously paranoid conspiracy theory variety. Would encourage you not to bother.

As a member of Round Table I resent the suggestion that this fine organisation is working in concert with the Illuminati and the Grey Aliens for world domination. Our efforts are entirely ours alone.
It’s the bloody Rotarians who sold out to the others.

  3. I have not read it – but have not heard much good. Here is a S. Mallaby review – whatever that means:

  4. Hi Tim –
    This website debunks the story:

  5. Forget Greg Palast; Lyndon LaRouche’s campaign pamphlets in 2004 treated this book as gospel.
