This ’ere internetwebbiething. It appears that what we really use it for is to search for gossip on middle aged singers like Janet Jackson.
The singer Janet Jackson, 39, was the most
sought-after term on the internet search engine Google News – ahead of
Hurricane Katrina and the tsunami.
She was even
way out ahead of her brother Michael Jackson, who was cleared of child
sex abuse charges in June after one of the most high-profile trials
ever.
Her position at the top of the Google list
raised some eyebrows. Her popularity in cyberspace this year is
connected to her "wardrobe malfunction" at the 2004 Superbowl when her
right breast was exposed.
This year a 40-second paparazzi video was circulated on the internet which showed her sunbathing naked.
Her
lawyers sprang into action to get the footage removed. But there was
more controversy when her former brother-in-law, Young DeBarge, claimed
that she had an 18-year-old "secret" daughter with her first husband,
James DeBarge.
So nice of the Telegraoh to provide an near perfect keyword article, isn’t it.
