Evo Morales.

I realise that Evo Morales is not the sort of person I would usually support. Links with Hugo Chavez and all that sort of stuff. But there’s one piece of obviously logical politics which I wholeheartedly support:

A firebrand peasant leader is expected to top next week’s presidential
poll in Bolivia, the world’s third-largest cocaine producer, on the
back of pledges to legalise cultivation of the coca plant from which
the drug is extracted.

The problem with cocaine, as with all other drugs, is the very fact of their illegality. They should be legal to grow just as they should be legal to take. Sell the damn stuff in corner shops….would make life a whole lot safer for Tory MPs for example.

I seems to remember watching a rather interesting movie featuring Evo Morales. The plot was a bit thin and the wardrobe department was obviously working on a very limited budget, however she seemed to be putting her all into her part. Like a lot of actresses she seems to have moved from the screen to politics nowadays. Bolivia’s answer to La Cicciolina methinks?

Have you seen VBS TV Producer Trace Crutchfield searching for Evo Morales in Bolivia? Pretty good stuff. All about coca.
