I don’t normally get onvolved in philosophical discussions. Not sure whether it’s because I’m too dim to get them or too dim to find them interesting but this line at the end of a piece about biological determinism etc puzzled me:
It is obvious, then, that in thinking about
humanity in the 21st century, there is still a lot of colonic material
of a taurine provenance — otherwise known as bullshit — to be cleared
out.
Well, OK, he explains what he means by "taurine" but isn’t that also an amino acid? The one that the true carnivores (like cats) cannot synthesise and thus must ingest by eating meat?
So is this an argument for vegetarianism?
