Tim Harford has his "Dear Economist" letters from the FT online now. Fun stuff, "The Ethics of Dwarf Tossing" and the like.

It can be slightly painful looking at the archives as the full piece is not posted. One has to go to the FT site to read the last 30% or so and if you’re not a subscriber you’re locked out, but the current one is always available.

In a way his columns are like Dr Tatiana’s (no, not in that they are about sex) for they use one specific area of knowledge, economics in his case, animal sex in hers, to try and solve or explain real world problems.
