Some Advice for Scott Burgess.

Scott’s claimed a second scalp over Sassygate, apparently Albert Scardino, executive news editor is to go.

Well done that man.

There’s also some good advice in his comments section:

I don’t think you’re going get a job at the Guardian anytime soon. Best to let the dust settle before you apply.

Profound I call that.

Looking at the Media Guardian, just to see if they had anything up yet, (no, they didn’t) I saw that Lachlan Murdoch has left News International. They seem a bit non-plussed by this, not quite sure why he’s dropping out of the succession race.

I dunno either but I would at least mention the fact that he lost $500 million of Daddy’s money. Might have something to do with it.

Jesus, $A500 million on an Internet service provider.
I set up an Internet Service provider in 1994, Sonnet Internet, on capital of just £20,000 and we managed to limp on until 2000. Even then we would have been fine if it hadn’t been for the lies, incompetence and dishonesty of my fellow directors.
God, what I could have done with 0.2% of what Lachlan cost daddy.
    Sigh.

Ok, a little tenuous, believe what you will. Got this info today.
I have a friend (lucky me), who has a mother (now there is a surprise), who has a friend who is also a friend of Lachlan’s wife.
The message travelling down this bit of the grapevine is that the story about Murdoch Junior wanting to spend more time with his family is substantially the truth.
