As you may or may not know, European Commission President Jose Barroso spent time as a university student in the company of one John Latsis, a Greek Billionaire. As you may also know, Senor Barroso took a holiday on hte yacht owned by Mr Latsis, and found that this could not possibly be a comfiltc on interest, as he was simply holidaying with an old friend, and anyway, the Commission had nothing to do with Mr Latsis’ business.

As EU Referendum points out today, this is not entirely true. There was a subsidt grant to be paid, which had been hel up, which was approved by the Commission after that holiday. Pure co-incidence, of course, go read for the details.
