  1. A piece on TCS on journalistic integrity? Now that’s what I call irony. 😉
Tim adds: Tsk, Tsk John. It’s not on journalistic integrity, it’s on journalistic error. And yes, I do refer to my own howler on those pages.

Recently Journalists don’t seem to be publishing errors, they seem to be actively conspiring to hide certain events or manufacturing falsehoods.
My interpretation is that only people with rich parents can do a journalism degree and live on the low starting wages a journalist gets, people who get doled out loads of money eventually tend to think they’re entitled to it, this tends to lead to a belief in collectivist ideologies.
This explains why most journalists are collectivist. Since the blogosphere is mostly a reaction to (mainly left wing) journalistic censorship, that’s why it tends to be more right wing.

  3. So journalists are left-wing because they’re from rich backgrounds, while people who grow up poor are right-wing? That’s, err, an opinion.
