Bob Herbert is rightly scandalised by the public money going in to support the new Jets stadium in New York. Powerful column, all of which I am in agreement with. I do think his case would be improved, however, if he were to reveal whether his own office, his own employer, the NYT, benefitted from similar subsidy. As Jim Glass tells us, it appears that his outrage only extends to those subsidies which do not provide him with an office.
