Victory! The Sweet Sweet Smell of Victoreee!

Ladies and Gentlemen may I announce a successful conclusion to this blog’s campaign to associate the Deputy Prime Minister, a certain Mr John Leslie Prescott PC MP, with a certain indelicate phrase has succeeded.

Thanks guys, I’m so proud.

    Congratulations!

  3. Congratulations to us all I say. Flawless execution Tim.
    10/10

  4. Excellent, delighted to see it worked.

  5. Note to self: Try to stay on Tim’s good side.

  6. Tim 1 Prescott 0

Tim Worstall has won! I meant to help earlier but imagine this is 1942 and so like some nations I am turning up late to the battle and will claim victory as mine! What? – oh it is to associate…

  7. Nice work! How the hell does that work, anyway?

  8. Googlebombing Prescott

Hooray! Tim Worstall’s googlebomb has landed – delighted I could do my bit. Poor old fuckwit….

  9. Ken – Wikipedia has a good explanation: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Googlebomb

  10. Well done Tim.

  11. Congratulations on executing your Googlebomb flawlessly, Tim and crew.
Now, however, it’s Technorati “tags” you have to go after. Still no entries there….

  12. Googlebombing

This is a splendid result, for the reasons Tim enumerated. Yet I wonder whether we might not aim higher. After all, few people are likely to stumble across this result by accident. Could we try to direct people searching for John Prescott to…

  13. Pretty good. I wonder if we could get one for Ted Kennedy

  14. Googlebombing and name calling lowers the standards of political debate. It weakens your own credibility to do this: would you rather be labelled as a Daily Telegraph of bloggers or a Sun? Or perhaps you can no longer tell the difference?
Tim asks: Who’s having a political debate? Snarling with rage and spitting with anger at the poltroons who run our lives, yes, but I’d be doing the same with any group who thought they could run my life better than I can.
And I’m never going to be considered the DT or the Sun of blogging. Dick and Jane’s Guide to Libertarianism, maybe, but nothing quite so well produced as either of those two.

  15. Tim ! Thanks for the visit – all is now clear. And thanks for this fine peace of work: i’d like to nominate you for the position of Spin Do^H^H^H^H^H^H^ Publicist for the next party to get into Number 10 🙂

  16. Hang in there (PS – helloooo Anne Milton)

I’m still busy and may be too busy to blog until early next week… but there’s lots of groovy stuff on the way. Send me money, buy some stickers or start/join a MeetUp group if you need something to do….
