Not the best ever review of Moby’s new album:
As I write this, I am on the plane, and Moby’s new album is rushing at
top volume into both earholes. "Hold on to people," sings Moby, "They
are slipping away." Thanks to a headful of these euphoric, melancholy
retro-house stylings – and, perhaps, the very many plastic miniatures
of whisky the kind stewardess agreed to give me provided I sat still
and shut up – I am in my own world. I sway and hum, grimacing with
bittersweet appreciation. I open my eyes to find myself staring
directly at the stricken face of a steward, who clearly thinks I am
trying to overcome constipation where I sit.
One can see the advertising slogan now…."Moby, better than Exlax"!
